| Bio | Willene C. Chapman, age 70, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 after battling with Alzheimer's. A vistation for Willene will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64050. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery, 20109 US Hwy 13, Higginsville, MO 64037.
Willene was born on June 11, 1951 to Elmer and June Danner in Independence, Missouri. After graduating from Van Horn High School in 1969, she married her sweetheart, Paul D. Chapman.
Paul and Willene had two children, Paul Chapman and Jennifer Theen, both of Independence. Willene loved her family and was so proud of her three grandsons: Ethan, Aiden, and Xander.
Willene was a friend to all and never met a stranger. She was proud of her work with the VFW in her younger years. She was also fiercely proud of her high school and was active in their reunion committee.
Willene is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and sister. |
