Jack was born May 7, 1951, to John and Katherine Cowan. He married Teresa DeBord, his high school sweetheart, October 11, 1969. Jack went to Van Horn High School, and spent 39 years at Fike Corp., where we not only moved up from janitor to supervisor, but also loved fixing and working with machines.
Jack was a wonderful, loving husband, daddy and "Papa." He was full of wisdom and great advice. He was a great friend and had such a warm playful heart. The man everyone around him could count on. He was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan "WIN OR LOSE". He loved softball, golf, playing pool, and fishing. He also loved the many years he spent on the softball teams Fike and Waytown Wabbits. But his greatest love was his wife, Teresa, and the family they created together.
Jack is survived by his wife, Teresa Cowan; children, Christy and James Wisemore and Laura and Greg Montgomery; grandchildren, Tyler and Christen, Cody, Megan and Blake, Ashley, James, Johnathan, Genesis, Ezekiel and Wade; great-grand babies, Noah and Raelynn; brother, Jim and Diane Cowan; sibling-in-laws, Sandy and Les Bailey, John and Debbie DeBord, Lady and Donna Hartman, and Lois DeBord; and many beloved family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his son, Jack Eugene Cowan; his parents, John and Katherine Cowan; sibling-in-laws, Karen Hartman and Fred DeBord; and many beloved family and friends.
