Bio | Kathy Jean Stickley, 56, of Wheatland, MO, passed away, Monday, December 21, 2009, at St. John Hospital in Springfield, MO. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Kathy was born September 18, 1953, in Kansas City, MO, to John C. and Peggy Jean (Merwelth) Stover. She grew up in the Kansas City area and attended Van Horn High School. She had worked for Missouri Dept. of Transportation for a number of years before she retired in 2003. She enjoyed yard work and spending time with her grandchildren. She was married to David Leon Stickley who preceded her in death on May 4, 2008. She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Stickley and her finance Fred Royal of Wheatland, MO; a son, Adam Stickley of Independence, MO; 2 sisters, Becky Smith of Independence, MO and Bonnie Stover of Raytown, MO; 2 brothers, Billy Stover; and 8 grandchildren.
