| Bio | 1951 - 2007 Rod Elliott, 56, St. Joseph, Mo., died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Elliott was born March 16, 1951, in St. Joseph and was a former resident of the Kansas City Area where he was employed in Auto Sales. He was a graduate of Van Horn High School in Independence, Mo., and had moved back to St. Joseph over 10 years ago. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Gordon and Zelda Nadine (Sexton) Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a member of the Baptist Faith. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his dog Buddy. Survivors: two sisters, Linda Brant, of the home and Martha Elliott, Huntington Beach, Calif.; two nephews, Kirk Pierpoint and Tony DeLuca; two nieces, Laurie Slaughter and Sara Bean. Graveside Services and Inurnment: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Ashland Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association. A register book will be available to sign at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
