Bio | Patricia Ann "Patti" McMurray, a woman of faith, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022. She was 71. Patti was born to Charlie and Beulah Wallander on October 22, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri.
After graduating from Van Horn High School Patti continued her education and became a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. While dedicating her time to a nearby hospital a man was admitted that had been in a motorcycle accident. Little did she know that this man would end up being the love of her life, Russ. They were married in 1974 and spent the next 48 years building a life together. Together they enjoyed bowling and going on adventures, camping with the CB club in various locations. Patti's passion in life was caring for others. She also found great comfort and pleasure in reading her Bible, drawing sketches and volunteering at church and often had a cold Coca Cola in hand. Patti's kind, fun-loving spirit will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Beulah Wallander; children, Mike McMurray (Sharon), Jesse McMurray (Tish), Jennifer Owens (Jody) and Dianna Little (Jack); brothers, Ron and Randy Wallander; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Patti was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russ; dad, Charlie Wallander; brother, Roy Wallander and sister, Nancy Wallander.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9th from 1-2pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Service will begin at 2pm with burial to immediately follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
