| Bio | John A. Smith, 68, of Kansas City, MO passed away January 9, 2019. Visitation from 10-11am on Wed., Jan. 16th at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with graveside service help at Brooking Cemetery at 11:30am.
John was born September 25, 1950 to Isaac Sr. and Emma (Huntoon) Smith in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Van Horn High School and attended one year of college at the University of Missouri, before he left to join the United States Marine Corp. John was a proud US Marine Corp. Vietnam Veteran.
John worked for Sears and Rancho Restaurant, before his job as operations manager for Metro Park Warehouses, where he retired. He was a member of the Raytown Soccer Club, along with being a Kansas City Royals ambassador, bag checker, ticket scanner and working security for them.
John is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Wanda of the home; sons: Kevin and Scott Smith; grandsons: Cameron, Conner, and Anakin Smith; sister: Florence; brothers: Isaac Jr. and Charles Smith.
