| Bio | 1949 - 2010 John L. Lityma, 61, passed away Sept. 13, 2010. John was a lifelong resident of Independence. John was a firefighter in Sugar Creek, MO for 25 years, committee member, warrior of the tribe Mic-o- say for Scout Troup 492, and an Eagle Scout. John leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Pamela Lityma, daughter Dawn Lityma, granddaughter Vanessa Mason, grandson Devin Damper, all of Independence. John also leaves behind one sister and two brothers. Jean Edwards,of Raytown, Mike Lityma & James Lityma of Independence. John also leaves behind countless friends and colleagues. A celebration of life will be held Friday, Sept. 17 at Mike Onka Hall, Sugar Creek, starting at 6pm.
