| Bio | Patty and I were married Oct. 13, 2016. She had been married to Lewis Jackson, who passed away about 20 years ago and I was married to a lady for 29 years who died in 2011. Patty and I rekindled our friendship the old fashioned way--writing letters to each other for a long time. We live the warm months at my home in the Poudre River Canyon in Colorado and the winter months at Patty's home in Independence. Both of us are retired--Patty from teaching and me in 2013 from PR/marketing for the University of Colorado Health System. During the first half of my career, I worked as a news reporter and editor for the Kansas City Star, a city magazine and a health magazine; in the last half, in PR/marketing for Colorado State University and then the health system. I spent all of my career as a writer in one way or the other. In retirement, I sill write some blogs (GaryKimsey.com and PoudreRiver.org). I have a grown son and daughter, and three young grandchildren. Patty has two grown daughters and two young grandchildren. |
