Bio | Gregory Paul Fillinger, 63, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052 with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the chapel. Greg was born June 19, 1950 in Independence, MO, to Marvin Paul and Margaret Elizabeth (Rogers) Fillinger. He had worked in truck sales for Arrow Truck of Kansas City for the past 16 years. He proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and card playing. Survivors include a daughter, Sarabeth Stahl and husband Richard of Lee's Summit, MO; a son, Andrew Fillinger of Independence, MO, and 3 grandchildren, Paige, Briely and Mallory Stahl.
