Bio     DWIGHT ALAN "DAK" KRATTLI Dwight Alan "Dak" Krattli, 66, Gravois Mills, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. He was born Oct. 2, 1949, in Independence, Mo., the son of the late Vernon and Rose (Hoffmann) Krattli. On Feb. 28, 1975, in Kansas City, Mo., he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Judy (Anderson) Krattli. Dak began his career as an elevator engineer in February of 1970, working at U.S. Elevator in Kansas City. Later, he was employed at Otis Elevator in Jefferson City, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed his retirement living at the Lake of the Ozarks and loved spending time on the lake boating, water skiing and fishing. He loved spending time outdoors with his dogs, hunting and participating in shooting sports. Dak was a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association and IUEC Local 12. He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; his dogs (also known as his children), Buster and Bella; several cousins and many good friends. Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, Sept. 2, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Amateur Trap Shooting at Laurie Trap and Skeet. Published in Kansas City Star on Aug. 31, 2016
