BALANDRON Connie, 59, of Shawnee, KS formerly of Independence, MO, passed away at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born June 7, 1949. Connie graduated from VanHorn H.S. Class of 1967. She moved to Johnson County, KS shortly after graduation. Connie worked at St. Luke's on the plaza to start her professional career in data entry and secretarial duties. She moved onto Padgett Thompson and then to Fred Pryor Seminars and Career Track where she was currently employed. Connie loved participating in BBQ contests with her friends. She loved to dance and loved all type of music. Connie was preceded in death by her father Ralph Beamgard and her mother Hester Beamgard. She leaves her husband Martin Balandron of the home, 1 sister Peggy Simons of Sugar Creek, MO, one son John (wife Jessi) Zillner of Garnett, KS, 1 daughter Cortney (husband Brandon) Alden of Spring Hill, KS, 3 step children, Matthew (wife Karey) Balandron, Michael Balandron, and Trisha (husband Frank) Bell, all of KC, KS, 8 wonderful grandchildren and many, many friends! We will all miss her very much. The family would like to express a special thanks and sincere appreciation to Doyne Alexander from Village Hospice. She has truly been a God send through this trying time. The family suggests donations be made to Village Hospice, 400 NW Murray Rd., Lee's Summit, MO., 64081. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 7, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Private family committal.
