Bio     Dewey Keith Ridpath, 67, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 3, 2015. Graveside services will be 10 am, Monday, Aug. 10 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Dewey was born Oct. 26, 1947 in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Van Horn High School. He worked at Armco Steel for thirty-two years until his retirement in 1998. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and a Scout Master. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union. Dewey was a jokester who loved hanging out with his many friends, fishing, his dogs, going to horse races and casinos. He was a huge fan of the Royals and Chiefs. Dewey was preceded in death by two sons and a sister. He is survived by his wife of thirty years Pat Ridpath, of the home; daughters Nicole Ball, Blue Springs, MO; Penny Nakano and husband Kenneth, Kansas City, MO; sister Maxine Dorrell and husband Tex, Garden City, MO; grandchildren Lauren, Emily, Kiyoko and Alexander and many other family members.
