| Bio | Susan Belinda Smith, 76 of Belton, MO passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., Monday until service time Monday at the chapel. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Susan was born July 22, 1948 in Independence, MO to James Daniel and Marylee (Lord) Nunamaker and has been a longtime area resident, graduating from Van Horn High School in 1966. She had worked as a church pre-school teacher for over 28 years for Colonial Presbyterian Child Development Center and Grandview Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts for her family and was also working as director of arts and crafts for the Belton Senior center. She is survived by; a daughter, Shelia Brew and husband Kevin of Belton, MO; a son, Jason Smith and wife Micheal of Belton, MO’ a sister, Annetta Cherry and Bill Blankenship of Smithville, MO; 4 brothers, Danny Nunamaker of Versailles, MO, John Nunamaker and wife Virginia of Gravois Mills, MO, Jamie Nunamaker and wife Cheryl of Versailles, MO and Lance Nunamaker; 6 grandchildren, Valarie Lancaster, Aaron Lancaster, William Lancaster (Amber), Reba Lancaster, Elizabeth Smith and Jeremy Smith and 4 great grandchildren, Bradley, Neavaeh, Felecity and Athena. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis Smith in 2007 and a grandchild, Abigal Barrera.
