Bio | Cheri J. (McLees) Duncan, 58, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Independence Regional Health Center. Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation. As per her wish, "Send me no flowers when I am gone," please contribute to Children's Mercy Hospital, which helped her in a time of need. Cheri was born February 3, 1948 in Independence, MO to Robert F. and Patricia J. (Payton) McLees. A graduate of Van Horn High School ('66), she received her B.A. from Columbia College in 1997. At the age of 33, she was born again and committed her life to trusting in Jesus with all of her heart. She was a member of Central Assembly of God (Raytown, MO), Family Fellowship Church and Word of Life Celebration Center (Rolla, MO), and Cornerstone Church (Blue Springs, MO). She was a 15 year survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer. Cheri is survived by her son, Dr. Jeremiah Duncan of Washington DC.; her mother, and her sister, Barbi Marquis of Independence, MO.
