Ombra B Brown Jr. was born December 6, 1947 in Kansas City, Mo to Ombra B Brown Sr and Ferne Lorraine (Hardy) Brown.
He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1966 and enlisted in U.S. Air Force in October of 1966. Hew was an airplane mechanic for 25 years. He served at many locations including Guam Hawaii, Okinawa, England, Saudi Arabia, Florida, North Carolina, California, Texas & Oklahoma. He was discharged after 25 years in June of 1991.
He was married to Janice (Hickman) on June 27, 1985 in Merced California. They were blessed with two sons. Hombre George Brown born January 7, 1986 at Castle Air Force Base, California. Jack Philip Brown born May 14, 1989 in Swindon, England.
His last assignment was a Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, where he worked on Air Wacs. The Brown’s then returned to Independence, Mo in July of 1991.
Known to his friends as “OB”. He was an avid reader and enjoyed working on computers.
Survivors are his wife (Janice), Sons Hombre “George” and Jack (wife - Whitney) all of Independence, and half sister Betty Ann Witt of California.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ombra B. Brown Sr and Ferne Brown. |
