| Bio | Larry Dale Williams Sr. May 30, 1947 — November 22, 2023 Larry Dale Williams Sr. of Independence, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was 76 years old. Larry was born to Harry and Anne (Tickle) Williams on May 30, 1947 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Larry worked hard his entire life. At the age of 13 he held a job at the local grocery store and ad numerous other jobs throughout the years. He was a graduate of Van Horn High School. Larry then landed is career with Armco Steel Company in his 20’s and dedicated over 30 years of his life to the company before retirement.As a teenager Larry met the love of his life, Jackie at a “West family” dance. They were married shortly after and spent the next 50 years creating memories together. To this union came two children, Angela and Larry “Dale” Jr. Larry was a simple man. He was reserved yet firm when he had to be and had a heart of gold. Larry enjoyed coaching his son in little league baseball when he was younger, dancing, league bowling and his weekly morning coffee get togethers with cherished friends. He also loved the thrill of racing, rather it was going to the tracks to watch in person or watching it on TV. All of those moments were treasured opportunities for laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences that enriched his life. His memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. |
