Bio     Marilyn Fata, 66, of Gladstone, Mo., passed October 8, 2013. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at McGilley Antioch Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 2911 Blue Ridge Blvd., Independence, MO 64052. Marilyn was born July 16, 1947, to Marion and Irma Sappenfield. She worked at Western Auto for 30 years. She was co-owner of Fat Chance Bar and Grill in Independence for four years. She also spent three years delivering for Jet Delivery Service. Marilyn loved going to the boats and gambling. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Vincent Fata; her daughter, Tammy Murphy (Tim); sister, Sue Mayer; step children, Grace MacMurchy (David); Michael Fata and Toni Fata; her grandchildren, Danielle Murphy, Brian and Patrick MacMurchy; and nephew and niece, Alex and Peggy Mayer.
