Bio | WILLIAM DANIEL "BILL" PIEDIMONTE William
Daniel "Bill" Piedimonte passed away on April 12,
2024, leaving behind a legacy that will long be
remembered. Born on December 16, 1947, in
Independence, Mo., he was the son of William A. and
Catherine Piedimonte. Bill graduated from Van Horn
High School in 1965 before pursuing his
undergraduate studies at Graceland College and
University of California at Berkeley. His unwavering
dedication to his craft culminated in obtaining his
law degree from University of Missouri in 1972. Bill's
passion for law led him to establish his own
successful firm, Piedimonte & Associates. He was a
respected figure in the legal community and an active
member of various prestigious associations including
the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges
Association, American Bar Association, Missouri Bar
Association, and Eastern Jackson County Bar
Association. Beyond his illustrious career, Bill found
joy in golfing and cooking, hobbies that brought him
peace and contentment. Bill is survived by his beloved
wife of 17 years, Sheryl; his children Shayna D.
Piedimonte and Amber D. (Joseph A.) Takens; Philip
M. (Leanna) Hininger and Nikki H. (Alex) Howell;
grandchildren William N. "Cole" Piedimonte, Joseph
D. Takens, Jace A. Takens, Jacob A. Takens, Kayle M.
Welch, Barrett C. Hininger, Connor T. Howell, and
Archer L. Howell; as well as siblings James
Piedimonte, Cynthia Piedimonte, and Mark
Piedimonte. Additionally, he leaves behind his loyal
companion of 14 and a half years, Trouble, the
Maltese. Bill is reunited with his parents and his
grandson, Joseph T. Hammon.
