Bio     James Minor, 67, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm, with Funeral Services at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington, Indep, MO 64052. James was born on May 3, 1947 in Kansas City, KS to James K. and Lois M. (Hampton) Minor. James was a graduate of Van Horn High School. It was there that he met the love of his life, Marilyn Maxwell. James was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church. James worked for the Smith & Greaves Company for over 30 years, doing a job that he loved, as a Lithographer, printing things for his favorite team, the Royals. James was able to see his team make it to the play-offs, attending his last game this past season. He enjoyed fishing, and cars, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family, and the grandchildren that he adored. Survivors include; wife of 47 years Marilyn Minor; daughters Audrey Powell and Natalie Stewart; grandchildren Anna May, Anthony May, Savannah Stewart, and Sadie Stewart; great grandchild Carly Ann Shelton; sisters Kierna Casey and Donna Hurst, as well as many nieces and nephews.
