| Bio | ichard Lance Doll, 65, passed away Oct. 25, 2012, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Floral Hills Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. with a private family burial to follow. Lance was born Feb. 25, 1947, the son of Ernest and Gladys Doll, and spent his entire life in Independence, Mo., graduating from Van Horn High School in 1965. He married Pauletta Jones on July 1, 1967, and had two children, Michelle and Steven. Lance was employed by Neenan Company for over 45 years and developed lasting friendships with his customers and co-workers. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. He coached baseball for many years and enjoyed spending his free time with friends at the Lake of the Ozarks, bowling with his brother and son, fishing and hunting. His greatest pleasure in recent years was being with his grandchildren. He was so proud of each of them and they all adored him. Survivors include wife, Paula; daughter, Michelle Wilson; son, Steven (Amy); grandchildren, Abigail, Ian and Aiden. He also leaves his brother, James (Linda) and a sister, Sandy Moore. Lance was a kind, generous and loyal man, a friend to all, who will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their care and support of Lance and his family during this difficult time.
