| Bio | Wanda L. Ellis, 70, of Blue Springs, MO passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. A celebration of her life will be held from 2-5:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at he Lee Andrews Hall and Gardens, 8510 S.W. State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO. Wanda was born November 12, 1947 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Verne and Hazel (Lasater) Creasman who preceded her in death. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother who also loved writing. A graduate of Van Horn High School in 1965, she went on to earn her degree at the MU School of Journalism Cum Laude in 1990 inspiring all the young students she studied with. On May 10, 1968 she married George Ellis who survives of the home. A member of KC Writers Group, and a Hospice volunteer. Wanda and George loved to travel abroad and in the US in their RV. In addition to George she is survived by her son Bruce Ellis (Tania) of Ft. Collins, CO, daughter Christian (Mathew) Apodaca of Lee’s Summit, MO, grandchildren Jonah and Gabe Ellis, Aleka and Julian Apodaca, sister and caregiver Barb Hill of Blue Springs, MO, caregivers Jodie Wagner and Trish Caylor, and dear friends Karen Greenall, and Linda Gammon. |
