| Bio | Dale A. Christopher, age 64, of Climax Springs, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Climax Springs.
Dale was born August 3, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri the son of Fred and Georganna (Turner) Christopher.
Dale served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was united in marriage on August 5, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri to Janice McKinney and together they had shared the past 44 years until his death.
Dale had been employed as a sheet metal worker for Cates Sheet Metal in Kansas City. Among his many talents, Dale constructed 4 of the homes he and Janice lived and raised their family in. He enjoyed fishing, boating, skiing, and riding motorcycles. Dale also enjoyed playing softball and had coached Jr. High softball in Climax Springs. More than anything though, Dale loved his family and loved spending time with them.
Dale was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed sorely by his family and friends.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Janice of the home; one son, David Christopher and wife, Christina, of Independence, Missouri; two daughters, Elizabeth Christopher of Independence, Missouri and Lynda Christy Christopher of Climax Springs, Missouri; two brothers, George (Ted) Christopher and wife, Charlotte, of Ogdan, Utah and Russell Christopher and wife, Lola, of Lone Jack, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Ploeger and husband, Keith, of Independence, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kellie Christopher, Julia Christopher, and McKenna Christopher, along with several other relatives and many friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Georganna Christopher.
Graveside Service and Interment with Full Military Honors will be Monday, July 30, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri |
