| Bio | Sandra "Sandy" Jean Brook, age 73, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on July 9, 2021 at St. Luke's East Hospital Lee's Summit, MO. She was born on September 6, 1947, in Kankakee, llinois the daughter of Kenneth and Georgean (Nolen) Bachman. She graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, MO. She married John Brook on May 7th, 1977 at Jackson County Courthouse. Sandy retired from the VFW National Headquarters, in Kansas City, MO. She loved spending time with her family. She was an avid camper. She also enjoyed crafts, cooking and was known for her prize winning Cheese ball and her Dill Dip. She was a cat lover and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her firefighter family and Elvis. She is survived by her husband of 44 years; John Brook, son; Chris (Wife: Melissa) Dady, daughter; Kendra (Husband: Chris) Shepard. Nine grandchildren; Nikki (Husband: Cody) Watson, Derrick (Wife: Kristen) Dady, Ryan Stacy, Hayden (Wife: Randi) Dady, Kayla Shepard, Hunter Dady. Nathan Shepard, Jenna Dady and Chris Nichols. Ten great grandchildren; Lincoln, Adalyn, Rylan, Gavin, Beau, Gaby, Caiden, Cooper, Dominic, and one on the way. Sandy was preceded in death by: her parents, son: William "Bill" Dady, and brother; Richard Bachman. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
