Bio | After graduating from Van Horn, I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I taught for the Independence Schools at Luff Elementary for six years. During eight years of "retirement", I stayed home with our children, Christine and Duane. I earned a Masters in Education from then CMSU, taught for Englewood Christian for five years; in 1989 joined the staff at Brookridge Elementary in the Shawnee Mission School District where I taught for twenty- one years. Now, after thirty-two years of teaching, I look forward to retirement! I do plan to stay connected to my chosen career, but with the greater flexibility that substituting and tutoring afford. |
