| Bio | SUSIE (SYLVIA) DRUMMOND Susie (Sylvia) Drummond, 71, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at her residence. Cremation is planned with memorial service to be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to Children's Mercy Hospital or to VFW Post 1000 in Independence. Susie and her twin sister were born in Independence, MO to Clarence and Adys Lewis on May 21, 1946. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1964. She served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. She worked in security for many years. She loved animals and had many pets during the years. Survivors include her twin sister, Claudia Davis (Jim); 2 sons, Danny Phillips and wife Amy and Vic Phillips and wife Janie; 6 grandchildren, nephews and other friends.
