Bio     I'm now retired from two aviation careers; professional pilot and avionics engineer. I'm also an Air Force veteran. In retirement I'm staying busy only as much as I like, there are no alarm clocks anymore, Mondays are irrelevant and sometimes I don't even know what day of the week it is. My wife and I have two wonderful granddaughters. I won't bore you with any details but I must say getting old has turned out better than I thought it would. I rather like it.
Semi-retired professional pilot still doing a little flight instruction and pilot services in the Tulsa area. I previously flew air charter and air freight and was an FAA designated pilot examiner while chief pilot for Spartan School of Aeronautics. I did a 15 year stint as an electrical engineer for FlightSafety International's simulator division but the lure of piloting real airplanes pulled me back into flying for money once again. For fun my marathon running wife and I backpack annually to the bottom of the Grand Canyon as well as in the Colorado Rockies. On the home front we have two wonderful granddaughters to help keep us busy. All in all it's pretty good life. Wesite: www.gilstrapfield.com
