| Bio | Carolyn Ruth Prebyl, 58, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Research Medical Center. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 7th at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will precede services from 12 noon-1 p.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Carolyn was born January 14, 1945, in Nevada, MO. She moved to Independence, MO, and attended Van Horn High School. She is survived by her husband, Richard Prebyl, her mother, Leona Ekstrom, a brother, Ronald Ekstrom, both of Independence, MO, two nieces, Nicole Ekstrom of the Lake of the Ozarks, and Cynthia Ekstrom of Independence, MO, two nephews, Curtis Ekstrom of Sealey, TX, and Peter Ekstrom of Houston, TX, and numerous other relatives and friends.
