Bio     Robert (Bob) L. Dennis of Kingsville, MO, passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 74 years. Bob was born on January 14, 1946 to Simon and Helen Dennis in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Van Horn High School in 1964, he landed his career job working for General Motors for 31 years. He was a UAW member and retired from GM in 1997. In 1969 he met Barbara and her two-little red-headed girls. He and Barbara were married September 25, 1970. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary. They raised three children in Blue Springs, MO, Lisa, Lori, and Chad. After retiring from GM, Bob enjoyed being the general contractor by designing and managing the build for he and Barbara’s retirement home on 35 acres in Kingsville, MO. He loved their land and added a barn where he enjoyed taking care of their six horses. He was an animal lover especially Pomeranian dogs and Miniature horses. He was a member of the Holden Saddle Club. Bob loved going on cruises and traveling to new locations with Barbara. He was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. He managed the concession stands for the City of Blue Springs, MO at pools, sporting event parks such as Pink Hill and Keystone, he and Barbara were the owners of the Fun Center Arcade and Snack Bar at White Oak Plaza and Aerodrome Arcade in Blue Springs for many years. Preceding him in death are his parents, Lee and Helen Dennis, his sister Gloria and brother Danny, his in-laws, Dan and Valmarie Meyer, son-in-law, Jeff Philpott, and brother-in-law Eugene Meyer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, children, Lisa Philpott (Jeff), Lori Riedel (Shawn), and Chad Dennis (Julia), and his five grandchildren Justin, Jordan, and Jenner Philpott, and Logan and Kate Dennis and many special family and friends. A memorial service date will be announced later.
