| Bio | Rogene Lauber, 64, of Independence, Mo., passed away February 27, 2011, at Truman Medical Center surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104. Rogene was born March 23, 1946, in Independence to Cecil and Deva Craig. She lived in Independence, graduating from Van Horn High School in 1964. She worked as a bookkeeper, a stenographer for the FBI and then worked in management for retailers for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil L. Craig. Survivors include her mother, Deva Craig; sister, Linda Cornett; daughter, Barbara McCollum and husband Shawn; son, Craig Lauber and wife Melissa; and grandchildren, Lacey, Jacob, Alexis, Emilia, and Nicholas.
