Bio     WAYNE EUGENE "GENY" BREWER, JR. Wayne Eugene Brewer, Jr., 68 of Grain Valley, MO, passed away, Friday, June 13, 2014 at his residence. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Donations may be made in his name to Crossroads Hospice. Wayne was born July 4, 1945 in Kansas City, Mo to Wayne Eugene and Betty (Fitzwater) Brewer, Sr. and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked as an inspector for the Fike Corporation in Blue Springs for 41 years until he retired in 2010. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, working on hot rods, Motocross, Supercross, collecting anvils and was a very talented and patient person who enjoyed restoring items to better than perfect condition in his shop which was referred to as "Wayne's World". He is survived by; his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Joan of the home; 3 children, Lisa Covey of Grain Valley, MO, Terri Kirchhoff of Lee's Summit, MO and Steve Brewer and his wife, Tina of Buckner, MO; 2 sisters, Joyce Reed and Michelle Brewer both of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, Larry Brewer and Donnie Brewer both of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, Tara, Brianna, Josh, Savanna, Jackson and Landon and 4 great grandchildren, Payton, Addison, Sterling and Ellie. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ronnie and Gary.
