Bio | Jack was a friend that worked with the webmaster on the Kansas City Police Department, along with having been a Missouri State Highway Patrolman. Edwin Jack Ader, 53, Sugar Creek, MO, died Friday, November 13, 1998. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Independence, MO, burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may call 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the George C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Ader was born November 24, 1944, in Independence, MO. and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Ader was with the Missouri Highway Patrol from 1968-1971, and the Kansas City Police Department from 1971-1985. He was a funeral director with Carson Funeral Homes for several years. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #3430. He was an Eagle Scout, Hardway Warrior and a member of Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was preceded in death by his father, Oran B. Ader, in 1982; and a brother Oran B. Ader Jr., in 1992. He is survived by daughters, Lori Engle, Sugar Creek, MO, Jackie Cue, Independence, MO; Peggy Ader, wife of 34 years; his mother Belle Ader, Sugar Creek, MO; sisters, Helen Sumner, Independence, MO, and Stella Rowland, California; and grandchildren, Jessica Engle, Jimmy Engle, David Cue and Ryan Jack Cue.
