Bio     Marilyn Kay Winstead, 71 of Grain Valley, MO passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Blue Springs First Church of the Nazarene. Marilyn was born October 12, 1945 in Hastings, NE to Merle Keith and Patricia Ann (Shaw) Shineman. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, garage selling, sewing, swimming and spending time with friends and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Blue Springs YMCA. Survivors include; her children, Kimberly Winstead and Steve Holbrook; mother, Pat Shineman; sisters, Peggy Bittiker and Gail Kipp; brother, John Shineman; grandchildren Morgan Flanagan and husband Jeff and Tori Farren and husband Colby great grandchildren, Jonathan and Ryan and one due in January of 2018 and a nephew, Brian Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Winstead in 2009 and a son, Larry Winstead in 2014. Donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
