Bio | Harley Sartain, 57, Blue Springs, died Monday, July 22, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Mr. Sartain was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Enon, Mo., the son of James and Ellen Sartain. He had a master's degree in mechanical engineering and retired in 2000 as a senior staff engineer with Honeywell. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, camping and photography. He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Alicia Lynn Sartain.
His survivors include his wife of 35 years, Carol (Hamilton) Sartain, of the home; two sons, Brian Sartain and wife, Marsha, Pensacola, Fla., and Michael Sartain, Kansas City; his mother, Ellen Sartain, Kansas City; a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Mary Sartain, Lee's Summit; his mother-in-law, Lavern Hamilton, Salem, Mo.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jan and Ken Davis, Bob Hamilton, Mary and Bill Smith and Jim and Leola Hamilton; two uncles, Artie and David Emmerich; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Enloe Cemetery, Russellville, Mo. Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at the Webb-Freer Funeral Home, Blue Springs. The family suggests contributions to your favorite charity. |
