Bio | eonard Art "Leo" Fields, 78 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Ignite St. Mary's Care Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made to Heart of America, Pop Warner Football and Cheer, 2801 Necessary Rd, Independence, MO 64057. Leo was born May 14, 1944 in Aurora, IL to Jack and Mildred (Lukens) Fields and moved to Independence where he graduated from Van Horn high School in 1962. He had worked for a number of years as printer and had owned his own printing company. He was very passionate about mentoring and youth and was very influential coach with the Heart of American Pop Warner Football for over 40 years and is currently a nominee for their Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed playing golf, pool and poker. He is survived by; a son, Larry Fields and wife Sherrie of Lee's Summit, MO and their Children, Levi Fields and wife Taylor Magyar, Lukas Fields and finance, Courtney Brumfield and Sophia Fields; son, Jimmy Fields of Lee's Summit, MO; Janet Fields of Independence, MO, Frances Fields of Aurora, IL and John Fields of Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda Fields in 2017 and 2 brothers, Richard Fields and Donald Fields.
