Judy (Mead '62) and I married shortly after HS graduation -- we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in August. I taught mathematics and computer science at the university level for 10 years before turning to the private sector where I have focused on system software development and, for the last several years, on implementing high-performance cryptographic systems. For the last 20 years we have lived in a wooded rural area outside Richmond, VA and, importantly, near an English riding school (see Judy's bio). Our son Burt, his wife Page and our two grandchildren live nearby. Not surprisingly, they are our most treasured source of pride and joy.
