Bio | Roger Dale Chaussard (Lococo), 73, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at his home in Independence, Mo.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at New Salem Funeral Home, 1823 N. Blue Mills Road, Independence, MO 64058. The family will greet guests from 5 p.m. until the start of the service.
Roger was born on October 3, 1944, in Eugene, Mo., the son of Louie Lococo and Mrytle Eth. He graduated from Van Horn High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Chaussard of the home; three daughters, Kim (Mike) Buhrman, Kathy (Jim) Austin and Karla Bloss (fiancée Tommy Roe) all of Grain Valley, Mo.; one son, Joey (Katrina) Chaussard of Blue Springs, Mo.; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle, Tyler (wife Heather), Kayla, Josh, Justin (wife Megan), Amanda, Saren, Keara, Jensen, Railyn, Tommy Jr. and Erika.; and seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Addie, Emma, Avah, Hailey, Noah and Coraleigh.
