Bio | Robert (Bob) E. Canterbury, 68, Blue Springs, MO passed away Jan. 14, 2013. The Memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sat., Jan. 19, at Speaks (Buckner Chapel), 300 Adams, Buckner, Missouri, 64016. (816) 650-5555. Flowers would be welcomed. Bob was born in Independence, MO on June 26, 1944. He graduated from Van Horn High School. He was a member of the United States Air Force. Bob worked as a switchman for Burlington Northern Railroad and an engineer for United Pacific Railroad for over 30 years. Bob is survived by his wife Sandy of Independence MO, his brother Hubert (Bud) Canterbury (Sherrel) of Wichita, KS, sister Jean Steinman of Independence, MO, sister Thelma Anderson (Jerry) of TX, daughter Pamela Evans (Greg) of Independence MO, son Jeffrey Canterbury of Oak Grove, daughter Lisa Fitzroy (Marc) of Newton, KS, daughter Christine Handy (Kevin) of Lee's Summit, MO, grandchildren, great children, nieces, nephews & many friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Bessie Canterbury, uncle Robert Cartmill and his beloved son, Bobby. Bob will be cremated and interred at Buckner Cemetery with his parents.
