| Bio | Mary J. Shineman, 68, of Sugar Creek , MO. , passed away December 10, 2011. Mary was born July 15, 1943 in Carthage, MO , the daughter of Marion Oliver and Willie Elizabeth (Crowder) White. She did accounts payable for Western Missouri Mental Health Center in Kansas City , MO for 22 years and was an accountant for the City of Gladstone, MO for 18 years, retiring in 2009. Mary was an avid Bunko player with the Van Horn Bunko Babes of Independence. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Harvesters of Greater Kansas City. 3801 Topping Avenue , Kansas City , MO 64129 . Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James K. Shineman of the home, a daughter, Melissa Morris and husband Clayton of Grandview, MO, a granddaughter, Sarah Morris, a great- grandson, William Schuster, 4 half- sisters, Theresa White of Belton, MO, Valerie Rose of Overland Park, KS, Carolyn Rice of Michigan, Jacqueline Daniels of Tennessee, and a step- mother, Marie White of Liberty, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 16, 2011 at New Salem Funeral Home. Burial in New Salem Cemetery.
