Bio     EARL SHINEMAN OBITUARY Earl R. Shineman, 70, of Blue Springs, MO, died April 21, 2012 in Independence, MO. He was a resident of Blue Springs, MO for 13 years after living in Ohio over 20 years. His loving partner, Judy, cared for him in his final days and many family and friends had an opportunity to visit him. He fought a short but fierce battle against pancreatic cancer. Earl was born to Verdell and Ray Shineman September 12, 1941 in Campbell, NE. He graduated from Van Horn High School in 1961. He worked the last 12 years as a Senior Tech Sort for Recovery Management Corp/Cargo Largo. He was a member of the Independence Christian Center. Earl is survived by his partner, Judy L. Hedges, his children Mitchell R. Shineman and Christine M. Wallace; siblings James Shineman, Judy Evans(Gordon), Roma Borland, Robert Shineman (Tammy), Janice Johnson (Andy); four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael and sister-in-law Mary Shineman. He will be missed by many friends and relatives. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M.,Thursday, April 26, 2012 at New Salem Funeral Home, 1823 N. Blue Mills Road, Indep., MO. Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at New Salem chapel. Earl's family would like to thank the St. Luke's Hospice team for the compassionate care given.
