After high school, Mary worked and from her first marriage, had a daughter and son. Then, in 1969, she met and married Anthony Catalano, the love of her life. In the later 1980's she opened her very own daycare, Bright Beginnings Education Center, where she was the director for over 20 years. Mary loved children. Childcare was not only a career that she loved, but one that she was completely dedicated to. Mary was also an avid reader and doll collector. As a member of the Independence Doll Club, she volunteered for many events at the Bingham-Wagner including decorating the carriage house for Christmas for many years. Mary loved traveling with Anthony and their close group of friends. She was known to read three or four books at a time; and finish them. Quickly. Mary loved to travel with husband, Anthony, making Christmas cookies with the grandchildren, and was an amazing cook. She was contributor to several charities, including the "Rotary Exchange Club", and was also an active member of the "Red Hats". Mary had a fantastic sense of humor and was exceptionally smart.
