| Bio | Gary E. Smith, 59, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2003, in Grain Valley. Cremation. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Metropolitan Community Church (Spirit of Hope), 3800 Wyandotte, Kansas City. Contributions to Heartland Hospice or to Cancer Action. Gary was born on November 13, 1943 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Horace and Eola (Jackson) Smith. He graduated from Van Horn High School. He was a restaurant Manager. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Jack Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Skyelore Holmes of Kansas City; sister, Shirley Beasley and husband, Paul of Grain Valley; four brothers, Larry Smith and wife, Ann of Kearney, Stephen Smith of Flemington, MO, Fred Smith and wife, Rae Jean of Independence, Robert Smith and wife, Margaret of Kansas City; sisterin-law, Dorothy Smith of Blue Springs; and stepbrother, Bill Gillen and wife, Jan of Blue Springs.
