| Bio | Doris Ann Loftus ended her long and courageous fight against cancer Jan. 12, 2016. She joined her husband, James Edward Loftus in heaven along with her beloved daughter, Kelly Lynn Loftus whom she spoke of daily. She also is reunited with parents, Charles Wormington and Alice Karlene Wormington. Doris was a graduate of Van Horn High School and retired from the Federal Government. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and she leaves behind daughter, Karla Russell and grandson, Christopher Marshment. Doris also leaves behind her baby dog, Chloe. She was a dog lover and regularly gave to animal organizations as a way to honor them. In addition Doris leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Norm Stephenson and her sister, Bonnie Saye and friend, Don Funero. Doris' family would like to thank NorthCare Hospice for the care they provided and to the nurses and staff at North Kansas City Hospital and Dr. DeWolfe and his office staff.
