| Bio | Frankfort – Terry Lyn Mills, 77, of Frankfort, KY passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Born May 12, 1942 in Hammond, IN., he was the son of Lula Emmons Mills and Darlene Fulton Mills. As a youth he attended Mt. Washington Elementary, and he was a proud, 1960 graduate of Van Horn High School of Independence, MO.
He is survived by cousins: Wanda Kennett (Brownstown, IL), Sandra Kennedy (Martinsville, IN), Steve Mills (Colo.), Margie Orr (Albion, IL), Alfreda Wiebbles (Caryle, IL), and Eugene Haddon (Independence, MO).
He was retired from the Dysart Dental Laboratory and its successors (Kansas City, MO) after almost two decades of employment with them.
His faith in Christ was unshakable with an always ready testimony to that reality. He was a member of Westminster Hall Presbyterian Church, Independence, MO; and Frankfort Wesleyan, Frankfort, KY.
He loved: classic western films, old Chevys, Coffee Tree Café, downtown concert series, Peaks Mill Christian Church Dinners, and friends here and far. Throughout life he treated the latter (in his ready words) as “un Amigo Siempre.”
Since hospitalization in 2017, he has twice been under the care of Hosparis, Inc. He has been a resident at Signature Health Care – both of Elizabethtown, KY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clark Legacy Center, Frankfort (3000 Versailles Rd, 502-695-8811). Burial will be at Peaks Mill Christian Church Cemetery. A graveside service starting at 2:30pm on Sunday, June 2, 2019 will be officiated by Rev. Ronnie McKinney of Peaks Mill Church.
