| Bio | Paul, a man with a life fully lived, left us on July 22, 2011. After a long illness Paul's body passed away from ALS. His soul and spirit will live on in our hearts forever. True to himself, Paul's final hours were spent joking and laughing with his family and friends. Paul began his life, the son of Jay and Virginia McClain and sister of Chris McClain, in Independence, MO. After marrying in 1968, Paul and his wife Heidi enjoyed an active life in Colorado and treasured a loving partnership for 40 years. Paul loved his family and experienced profound pleasure in being with his sons, Ned and Brad. He was delighted when his sons brought their wives, Sarah and Krista, into our family. During his life Paul was a successful professional and entrepreneur. He touched many people's lives and held his friends closely. Paul's sense of humor often carried his family and friends through difficult times. He frequently reminded us not to take life too seriously and left us with a smile.
