Bio     Margaret (Margie) L. Chinn, 70, Grain Valley, Mo., joined Heaven's most holy choir on December 31, 2012. Margie was born May 11, 1942, to Oliver and Mercia Jackson (Riddolls) in Independence, Mo. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1960. On May 18, 1963, she married Earl E. Chinn, the love of her life, and enjoyed being his devoted wife until he went to the be with the Lord on Jan. 18, 2010. Her professional secretarial career included working for American Oil for 11 years and Lipton Tea from which she retired from after 26 years. She became born again on Oct. 7, 1972, and this is when she found her purpose in life. She was always happiest when she was doing the Lord's work. She loved spending time being active in her Journey Group, teaching various Sunday school classes ranging in age from nursery age to high school students to elderly women, singing in the choir, and performing heart-stopping solos in both Christmas and Easter services. Margie loved her church family and even in the midst of her illness, she longed for Christian fellowship. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, gardening, grand-mothering, and caring for any stray animal that needed her help. She always kept extra dog food in her car in case she ever saw a dog in need or a dog traveling with a homeless person. She wanted every animal in this world to be cared for and appreciated. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Chinn; sister, Joann Williamson; brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Dean and Maxine Payton; brother- in-law, Claude Chinn, and numerous family pets. Her survivors include daughter, Laurie Lentz and husband Chad of Maricopa, Ariz.; daughter, Lisa Gard and husband Dennis of Moberly, Mo.; brother-in law, Earl Williamson and wife Joan, Independence; sisters-in-law, Mary L. Chinn, Clermont, Fla., Mildred Hall, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Berniece Chinn, Gresham, Ore.; grandchildren, Joshua Lentz, Matthew Lentz, Nathaniel Gard, Gabriel Gard, Blake Gard, and Rafe Gard, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 W. Winner Rd., Independence, MO 64052. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Church. It was Margie's desire that anyone who reads these words about her, attend her memorial service and celebrate God's plan for the ages - to accept Him as his/her Savior and worship with the family in celebration of her entrance into Heaven.
