Bio | Marilyn Carole Knapheide Peterson, 78, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on July 9, 2020 peacefully at her home.
She was born September 20, 1941 to Harold and Mary (Rice) Knapheide in Independence, MO.
Marilyn graduated from Van Horn High School in 1959. She was a legal secretary.
She married the love of her life, Murray on July 17, 1993 and they were able to celebrate 27 wonderful years of marriage together. Marilyn and Murray lived in Overland Park, KS, were snowbirds in Fort Myers, FL, and spent 2 years living in San Antonio, TX.
She enjoyed reading, flower arranging, traveling, and spending time with family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary. She is survived by her husband, Murray Peterson; daughter Kimberly Biesemeyer; stepsons Robin (Cheryl) and Shelby (Gwen); and step-grandchildren Alex, Brandon, Mitch, & Misty.
Murray and Kim would like to thank KS Palliative and Hospice Care for the outstanding care they gave Marilyn during her final months and for the wonderful, caring support to the family.
Visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS on Saturday, July 25 from 3-4PM followed by a memorial service at 4PM.
