Bio     Karen Sue Darling Templeton Van Horn class of 1959 passed away on August 8, 2023. In her home in Aurora, Colorado of a long hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Karen started her working career as an x-ray technician at KU and became a traveling ultrasound technician through her career. She traveled to many foreign countries, Asia, Southeast Asia, war-torn Lebanon and around the United States, substituting for people who were on leave or on vacation. Karen loved to travel, and acquired enough United Airlines points to travel around the world twice on many vacations after she retired. She leaves behind a sister, Shirley Beeler of Independence and two nephews. There will be no service. She will be buried in Mount Washington cemetery, Independence, MO. For many years Karen was one of the first to answer and send condolences out to those who lost loved ones from Van Horn. She will be greatly missed by many of us. Rest in Peace Karen.

Jerry is a VH Alumni (1960) and will be gifting a Falcon sculpture he created to VH at this time. All school alumni are welcome to attend.
