| Bio | Judith R. Beard 6/18/41-8/1/2020
Judith R. "Judy" Beard passed away peacefully in the early morning of August
1, 2020. Born June 18, 1941, in Kansas City, Judy grew up in Independence,
MO and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1959.
Judy was preceded in death by her Parents, Arthur and Vina Rathbun, and her
brothers, Joseph and Robert Rathbun. She is survived by her daughter Julie
Beard and her son Jim Beard, his wife Kerri, and her grandchildren James and
Kalli.
Visitation services will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5:30 to
8 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO 64055.
Mom would be happy to know that she is still close to the Wal-Mart! :). A
graveside service will take place on Friday, August 7th, 2020 at 11:00 am at
Mt Washington Cemetery in Independence. Further information can be found at

I have always been amazed that anytime I went anywhere (and I mean
anywhere!) with my mother, that she would run into someone that she knew. I
was always amazed at how this woman could know and remember so many people,
but could never find her keys! Her passing has only reinforced this to me
as I have been inundated with prayers, blessings, and well wishes from so
many people who loved my mom. It has truly been a great comfort to know
that she was surrounded by so many people that loved her. That being said,
please do not hesitate to spread this post and the information herein.
Thank you all for your kind words and well wishes. Please know a very
difficult week has been made much easier through all of you.
