Bio | Roger Marlin Blackmore, 61, of Olathe, KS, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away at his home, March 10, 2003. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003, at the Oak Ridge Memory Gardens Cemetery in Independence. Memorial visitation will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, MO. Family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Roger was born in Kansas City, MO on May 28, 1941 and lived all of his life in the Greater Kansas City area. He had worked for the Sprint Corp. for ten years until retiring in 1998 as a support technician. He had formerly worked for the Locke Stove Co. for 20 years until 1987. He was a member of the Independence JayCee's and a volunteer with the MidAmerican Rehabilitation Hospital. Roger is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bryce and Betty Blackmore of Grain Valley, MO; two daughters, Cheryl Blackmore of Lee's Summit, MO and Wendi Blackmore of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Phillip Blackmore of Lee's Summit, MO; and a granddaughter, Addison Blackmore. |
