Bio | Richard (Rick) Anson White, (10/25/40) at the age of 80, Independence, MO passed away after long battle with Alzheimer’s on May 13th at Wilshire Lakewood Care Center
Rick was a hard worker and started as a young man earning the prestigious award of the Boy Scouts of America's highest rank Eagle Scout. He graduated from Van Horn High school in 1958, soon after married the love of his life, Barbara and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He worked in the Engineering Department of ARMCO Steel, Rick and his partner James Porter broke off and Started their own Engineering firm, then in 1968 with copiers and a blue-line machine the firm became a Printing Company that is still in business today (Copy-Rite Printing).
Rick Enjoyed spending time outdoors from Riding a bike, Fishing, Boating, Scuba diving, Running, Hiking, Water Skiing, Snow Skiing, Tennis, Volleyball, Football and Slow Pitch softball, and most of these sports had to be finished with a BEER!!! The Ozarks was the place he enjoyed to be, building a home from the ground up with Barbara to spend time with Family and Friends.
Rick is survived by his wife of 62 years Barbara White, two sons, David White (wife Michelle), and Greg White. Four grandchildren, Garrett White, (wife Emilie), Courtney White, Chelsea White, and Emily White, and four great grandchildren. Rick was preceded by his parents Emmett and Thelma White and Grandson Greyson White.
A Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 East 39th Street, Independence, Missouri 64055. Graveside services will be held 10:00a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64133.
